NAME
  sia_log - Log events and errors - SIA (Security Integration Architecture)

	  u_int loglevel,
	  char	*siafmt,

PARAMETERS
  loglevel    There are three types of log messages:
		SIALOGEVENT - Log an event (not an error or problem)
		SIALOGERROR - Log an error or problem (not too serious)
		SIALOGALERT - Log a serious problem (SIA is SERIOUSLY ILL)

  siafmt      Printer format suitable for the vfprint routine.	(One of the
	      SIA message formats in sia.h.)

  ...	      The list of additional strings to be printed in the log, if
	      any.

DESCRIPTION
  The sia_log() routine logs events and error messages into the sialog file.
  Each entry is time and PID stamped to track when and who was making the log
  entry.

  The sia_log() routine appends to an existing log file.  If the log file
  does not exist, it is not created (no error is returned). The sialog file
  is intended for debugging possible SIA problems.  Use the audit subsystem
  for normal auditing and logging.

RETURN VALUES
  The sia_log() routine returns SIASUCCESS or SIAFAIL.

ERRORS
  The errno value is not normally set explicitly by sia_* routines.  The
  errno values are those returned from the dynamic loader interface, from
  dependent (siad_*) routines, from malloc, from stdio routines such as fopen
  and vfprintf, or local routines such as catopen.  Possible errors include
  resource constraints (no memory) and various authentication failures.
